Baby Got Back!

The Golden Age has ended

It's the end of an era. The era in which we were a two silver Honda Civic family. Eric's is gone. He got into a nasty accident the other day, and although he is thankfully fine, the car is not. Bye bye. I think that's been the hardest part-- Eric loves that car! He's a bit bruised and a lot sore, and is in mourning for his car. Boo hoo. When we get to the wrecking yard, I'll get a picture of what's left of it.

In Other Great News...

... So You Think You Can Dance is starting tonight! Can't wait!

Iris...

... is crawling! Hurrah! I was talking to a friend the other day, and right as she asked if Iris was crawling yet (and as I was saying no), Iris began! It's still slow going, but it's happened enough times that I know this isn't a fluke. It's so cute!

All I could get were drunk baby faces.

She buckled.

Striking a pose.

I have a crazy family

Before working in the yard the other day, Riley said she was cold. This is what she came out wearing: scarf, hat, sunglasses, and mittens. In May. OK.

I couldn't get her to pose for a picture, so I hope you can see. I felt like a paparazzo, sneaking up on her to get a shot.

Eric also didn't care to get his picture taken.

Thanksgiving Point

Melanie and I took the kids to Thanksgiving Point the other day-- it was so much fun! It's so great to watch Riley and Kyson actually play together. Up until fairly recently, their time together consisted of stealing toys from each other, screaming at each other, and tattling on each other. But they've started enjoying one another recently. And therefore, Melanie and I enjoy them together.

Thanksgiving Point is a lot of fun, and the kids loved seeing all the animals. Of course, the highlight was the horsey ride.

My Little Chicken

The other day, in a fit of domesticity, I went through the girls' clothes, transferring Riley's old stuff that Iris will soon fit in to (sniff), and audios-ing the stuff that's too small. I came across Riley's Halloween costume from her first Halloween. She still loves it.

I am fairly certain

my left leg is a smidgen shorter than my right. Huh.
